10Performances & concert expectations

Performances are the visible outcome of what we do every week. Attendance at concerts is required.

Excused absences

• Illness with a doctor's note
• Family emergency
• Other requests must be submitted in writing by a parent or guardian three weeks prior to the performance, and are subject to director approval.

Missed a concert? Students will complete an alternate performance and a music-theory assignment.

Recording. Rehearsals, lessons, and concerts are recorded for analysis and student feedback.

Extra performances outside the school day (community events, invitations, etc.) require at least one month's notice from the requesting organization, and participation is determined by an ensemble poll.
